How to use the non-woven swabs in the Disposable Wound Dressing Set efficiently?

Date:2024-07-07

Using the non-woven swabs in the Disposable Wound Dressing Set efficiently is an important step to ensure wound cleanliness and promote healing.
Before using the non-woven swabs, be sure to clean your hands thoroughly or use disinfectant hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands to avoid bringing bacteria into the wound. Carefully open the package of the non-woven swabs to avoid contaminating the surface of the swab.
First, gently peel off the existing dressing on the wound (if any) and carefully observe the condition of the wound, including whether there is redness, swelling, exudate, etc. Use a non-woven swab to gently wipe the skin around the wound to remove dirt and exudate. During the wiping process, keep the technique gentle and avoid unnecessary pressure and irritation on the wound.
If there is exudate or dirt inside the wound, you can use a non-woven swab to gently dip in an appropriate amount of saline or disinfectant, and then deep into the wound to clean it. However, it should be noted that this step should be performed by medical staff with professional knowledge to avoid damage to the wound. After each wiping, a new non-woven swab should be replaced to avoid cross contamination.
